Aggies Roll over LA. Tech

Ted Knauber and Justin Hawkins each scored 16 as New Mexico State shot well from behind the 3-point line to beat Louisiana Tech 79-64 on Thursday night.

The Aggies (22-7, 11-4 Western Athletic Conference) hit 13 of 24 3-point shots, with eight of those baskets coming from Elijah Ingram and Knauber. The two were a combined 8 of 15 from 3-point range.

With the win, New Mexico State clinched the No. 2 seed in next week's WAC tournament.

New Mexico State led 35-26 at the half, and it wasn't until the second period that the Aggies were able to build a double-digit lead. The Aggies hit 3-pointers on three straight possession to build a 60-45 lead with 6:53 left in the game.

New Mexico State shot 48 percent from the field for the night and beat Louisiana Tech (10-19, 7-9) on the boards, 43-42.
