Norfolk Sports Club defeated K&D Rounds 80-67

Norfolk Sports Club defeated defending Portsmouth Invitational champion K&D Rounds Landscaping 80-67 in consolation action Thursday afternoon.

Norfolk Sports Club, who had five players in double figures, were led by Alex Young of IUPUI and Charlie Westbrook from South Dakota with 15 points. Buffalo’s Mitchell Watt had 14 points and Wendell McKines of New Mexico State and Dominique Morrison from Oral Roberts added 12 points each. McKines had 14 rebounds, while Agustus Gilchrist snared 17 caroms.

K&D Rounds Landscaping had just one player in double figures as Rakim Sanders of Fairfield finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds. They led 35-34 at halftime, but were outscored by 14 in the second half. K&D Rounds Landscaping was tied in their opening game at halftime, but lost by 12 Wednesday night.
